In his later years, Chin used the camera as a paintbrush. In addition to presenting his rich artistic aesthetics, his keen photographic vision also brought the viewer into the realm of the unity of “paintings” and “photographs.” With shutters of decisive moments, he froze the ecological landscape and humanistic features of every area he reached in his life, and captured the spectacular painterly scenes. The imagery, abstract concept, and realistic expression of his works are lyrical and pictorial as they profoundly convey the artist’s inner vision and mood. Many of his works can even reveals his humorous and open-minded attitude towards life while seeing the world from the perspective of an “old gamin of photography.” His works allow the viewer to experience life with relatable resonance. In addition to the value of art, he also conveyed the profound humanistic spirit and the positive significance of valuing ecology and nature.



Sprinkle was taken by Chin in the swamps in the US. He said that when the motor fan blades started to strike the water, the reflection in the surrounding water became distorted, so he captured this dynamic moment with a long shot.
