Shuanglian Station
In the 1930s, about the last decade of the Japanese Colonial Period, photographer Li Hou-Zheng represented the everyday life of people in Taipei. Like an observer, the photographer strolled around the city, and his photographs take us back to daily Taipei at that time. In Li’s works we see people in kimonos, Chinese clothes, and western outfits; they were well mixed, suggesting the integration of people of different identities.
